Located at 2345m altitude in the Swiss Alps, Lake Toma is referred to as the source of the Rhine. This idyllic lake is surrounded by mountain peaks up to almost 3000 m. The hike to it is impressive with a beautiful panoramic route along the mountainside. The hike can possibly be extended with passage past the Badushütte. The route is well marked, but we've also added an GPX file via our link.
We took this hike in mid-November and still enjoyed bright sunshine and a soft powder coating. But this hike is magical in every season!
