This hike brings you from a small village in Ticino, the south of Switzerland to the border with Italy at a magnificent viewpoint.
With 14 km and 1100 meters of altitude, this hike can count. You can park your car at the entrance of the village Cozzo. From there the hike starts and you immediately begin some solid kilometers and altimeters. The first highlight of the hike is a beautiful viewpoint on the border with Italy. Behind you is beautiful Ticino and in front of you you will enjoy a panoramic view of Italy. The hike goes quite a bit further over a ridge where you keep flirting with the border. Thus, you will encounter some border posts along the way. The final destination? The summit of Monte Gazzirola at an altitude of 2116 meters. This is followed by a long but panoramic descent back to the village of Cozzo.
