Swedish hidden waterfall near Vänern Lake

Near the southern shore of Swedish largest lake, Vänern Lake, you can find a hidden waterfall called Skäktefallet. From a small parking lot it is a quick 10min hike towards the waterfall. Thanks to a bridge near the falls you can admire it from both sides. Be prepared to get wet. This 30m high waterfall will give a lot of spray resulting in a natural shower to cool you down after the little climb towards the falls.

Feeding moose at a Swedish ranch

When in Sweden you want to tick some boxen from your bucketlist. One of them is feeding a moose at a ranch. We headed to Dalslands Moose Ranch near the border of Norway. At specific times you can not only visit the ranch but also help the animal caretakers to feed the 1-year old males. We were lucky to just catch such a feeding moment and help out those giants with their dinner.

Afternoon

From the Dalslands Moose Ranch towards Camp Grinsby you can take the scenic route over a 20km dirt road passing multiple lakes. This was by far the most beautiful drive of our week!

Sunset at Camp Grinsby

Camp Grinsby: for Flemish people better known as Camping Coppens. After we've checked-in and enjoyed a nice portion of Belgian fries, we walked towards the little peninsula at the end of the campground. We sat down on the rock by the water and enjoyed yet another beautiful sunset.
