7-day van trip through Central-Sweden
Road trip
€ 1.000 - 2.000
7 days
Are you fascinated by nature, a van lover and up for a little roadtrip through Central-Sweden? Then this is your call for a one-week trip starting and ending in Stockholm. We rented a van and discovered the lesser known areas just above the popular roadtrip destination in the south of Sweden.
For people who like

From the Stockholm Archipelago to Trosa
Did you know only 20 km south of the Swedish capital you find a national park? We started our day on the Stockholm Archipelago, drove past the capital down south to visit our first Swedish national park: Tyresta. To end the day on a campground in the coastal area around Trosa.

From the coast we go inland
From Trosa we follow the coastline down south to the suspension bridges in Stendörren Naturreservat. We say goodbye to the sea and ride inland towards the most epic sunset boondocking spot ever seen.

Crossing Småland and picking wild blueberries
On our 3rd day of this relaxing road trip through nature, we visit our second national park in Sweden: Nora Kvills National Park. There is a nice hike and tons of wild blueberries to pick.

Passing the gigantic Vänern lake towards Camp Grinsby
We start our day with a hike to a hidden waterfall, pass our afternoon by feeding moose and ending our day with a sunset near the Norwegian border at Camp Grinsby.

All-day canoe trip at Camp Grinsby
Today we (partly) swop our van for a canoe. Starting from Camp Grinsby we paddle all the way along the shores to little islands in the middle of the lake. In the afternoon we continue our roadtrip towards the northern areas of the great lakes.

Ending our trip in Tiveden National Park
Save the best for last! Partly because of our route, partly because of storm Hans who left a lot of places in the park soaked and unhikeable. We heard so much about this hike, and it was true: coolest hike of the week!

12 hours in Stockholm
We started and ended our roadtrip through Central-Sweden in Stockholm. So it wasn't a multiday citytrip, but a quick half-day taste of the beautiful Swedish capital.
