Shop at the Goult Market

Thursday is Goult’s market day, a day when the town comes alive: all cheeses and fruits and satchels of lavender wafting their smell in your direction. Goult is a small town and one of the nice things about it, is that there is actually not much to do. No highlights, no statues or castles. Just a sleepy little village with a nice market on thursday. Make sure to buy some cheese for you cheese and wine picknick in the lavender fields later on.

Explore Bonnieux

Bonnieux is another small Provence town on a hill. Roads are steep, buildings are beautiful. Some highlights? The Rue Droite: this cobbled street is one of the oldest in the village still visible. The Rue Droite is a treasure trove of small-scale heritage. Discover old houses, a wheel fountain and the remains of ramparts. The Belvedere: this viewpoint offers a view of the lower part of the village of Bonnieux, the agricultural plain, the Calavon valley, the neighbouring villages (Gordes, Roussillon), the Vaucluse mountains and the Mont Ventoux. Worth the climb!

Wine tasting at Chateau la Canorgue

Located at the heart of the Luberon Regional Natural Park, Château la Canorgue is a family-owned estate. The vineyard has remained in the family for more than 200 years. Chateau la Canorgue even was the backdrop for Ridley Scott’s film 'A good year'. Rosé is made all over the world, in varying colors, quality and sweetness. But Provence is the only region in France to specialize in dry and aromatic rosé wines. Chateau la Canorgue is committed to sustainable agriculture. Since the 1970s the entire vineyard has been operated using organic methods and a few Biodynamics rules in an effort to achieve quality and fully respect the stock and the environment. That being said, you should try the Chateau la Canorgue Rosé wine. It's crisp, with hints of raspberry, currants and strawberry. Another great wine to try (and buy) is the red "La Canorgue" with a full body and velvet tannins. Other great vineyards and domains to visit: Domaine D’Estoublon - also buy the olive oil, it's exquisite Domaine des Lauzieres Chateau Fontvert
