The charmes of Gordes
Part of the fun of the Provence is in visiting the beautiful, old perched villages. Gordes is one of them.

Explore the town of Gordes
The most famous view on this beautiful French village is from the top viewpoint of Gordes. This spot is located on Google Maps as ‘Town View Point Gordes’ and the address is 13 Rte de Cavaillon. Make sure to park your car well on beforehand, because it can get busy. It's on your way to the city centre though, so you might as well. As with many rural settlements in France, there is not much in Gordes by means of attractions and must-visits but instead the true charm of the place lies in its beauty and nostalgic atmosphere As such, one of the best ways to get to know the town is to simply stroll around and allow Gordes to reveal itself to you. Drink a glass of wine of the region, treat yourself to some delicious regional delicacies and enjoy the vistas from the old settlement staircases. Some nice places to eat in Gordes: - Casa Rosario for pizza and pasta under a leafy terrace. - La Trinquette for tapas, charcuterie, salads or steaks. It has a lovely terrace but it also has one of the best-placed tables in Provence, squeezed onto a tiny balcony up high with magnificent views to the west. - L’Outsider | Embracing the simplicity of high quality produce and robust French flavours, L’Outsider specialises in steak and fish dishes. They keep their menu limited to only serve the best prepared meals.
