Set up tent at Camping Le Galetas

You can't get closer to the Gorges du Verdon than with a stay at camping Le Galetas. It is located at the main road leading to the famous view point of the Gorges du Verdon. For about €30 in high season, you can set up your tent. Be aware of the very steep roads on the campsite and park your car safely!

Spend the day at the pebbly beaches of the Gorges du Verdon

Either go very early or very late, because the rocky beaches around the lake are busy. These are some beaches you could visit: La plage du Plan (Saint-André les Alpes) The Cheiron bay (Castellane) The Touron beach (Saint Julien du Verdon) Another great way to explore the region, is of course by foot. Some of the most popular hiking routes include the Sentier Blanc Martel (a 16 km route that takes walkers between the towns of Palud-sur-Verdon and Rougon) and Sentier L’Imbut (which starts in Palud-sur-Verdon but is much more a difficult route).
