Keen to see some epic views over Mount Agung in Bali? Then you should definitely visit Lahangan Sweet! This spot on a mountain ridge is one the main tourists attractions of East Bali. After a ride up the mountain, either by motorbike or car, and a short walk up hill, you’ll arrive at the ‘ticket office’ where you’ll have to pay the IDR 20,000 entrance fee.
From here, the most famous viewpoint, the treehouse platform, is only a one minute walk away. Climbing up can be a bit slippery, but once you’re up there you’ll see it’s worth the hype! The panoramic view with Mount Agung volcano in the middle is breathtaking.
There are several unique viewpoints in this area, all overlooking Amed, the Karangasem region and the rest of the island. The landscape is mesmerising.
I’d recommend visiting either at sunrise or sunset for the best light. The hike up can be a little muddy, so adjust your shoes. Also the temperature at the summit can be a bit chilly so bring a sweater.
