Switzerland is filled with beautiful lakes. Lac de Lioson in south-west Switzerland, also known as "Pearl of the Alpine Lakes", is one of those hidden treasures. It is a stunning mountain lake at an altitude of about 1850 m. In spring and summer, the surrounding mountains are beautifully reflected in the emerald waters. In autumn and winter, the landscapes turn from yellow to red and white. A walk to the lake is therefore more than worthwhile in any season.
We made a hike of 10 km to the lake and back during winter. The white landscape is magical!
