When the winter finally arrives in the mountains, it's time to take out your snowshoes and go on a wonderful snow adventure in Switzerland!
We did a typical winter hike in Grimentz, a small village in Val d'Anniviers. It's located at an altitude of 1550-1600 m. The authentic centre is car-free and therefore quite serene, but maybe the cute wooden houses have also something to do with that!
This hike starts in Grimentz and is about 18 km with 800 altimeters. You can fill a whole day with this hike, while the average hiking pace (with a lot of snow) is lower than normal. Take your time to enjoy the beautiful mountains around you.
This hike is a loop and can be followed via our gpx (find it via the link) or the snow shoe signs that you find next to the paths.
Happy hiking!
