This hike is one of the most beautiful hikes in Belgium and is a MUST for everyone who visits the Ardennes. Since this is the only 'mountain' river in Belgium, there are several waterfalls so it is a very charming fairylike walk.
The hike is only 6km long, but don't underestimate it because it's quite steep & there's a lot of climbing involved.
I recommend starting this hike VERY early in the morning since it's such a popular hike especially during weekends/holidays and it's def no fun with so many people on the trail.
Wear some proper shoes, def when it rained the days before because you'll have to climb a lot on slippery rocks. It's almost impossible to get lost on the trail! it's well signposted.
There is a beautiful panoramic view where you can sit and eat/drink something, but keep in mind to ALWAYS bring your trash back with you NEVER leave anything behind bc there are no trash bins!!
