Looking for a fun winter activity or don't feel like skiing? The Feldberg mountain area in the German Black Forest has lots of winter fun to offer. For example, rent a couple of snowshoes at the House of Nature (or bring your own) and go explore the stunning unbeaten snow landscape. There are two official snowshoe hikes departing from the Seebuck parking lot. A 3-km long Seebuck route and the large Feldberg summit tour of 9 km. We opted for the last one, which took us about 3,5 hours to complete. As the start is about 30 minutes uphill through the deep snow, this is definitely the hardest part but still very doable. Both routes are very well signposted and throughout you are rewarded with amazing views of the snowy Feldberg hills and valley.
