Sweden
From the Stockholm Archipelago to Trosa
Did you know only 20 km south of the Swedish capital you find a national park? We started our day on the Stockholm Archipelago, drove past the capital down south to visit our first Swedish national park: Tyresta. To end the day on a campground in the coastal area around Trosa.

Waking up on the Stockholm Archipelago
Yesterday in the late afternoon we picked up our van north of Stockholm. We didn't want to drive that far anymore since the sun was already setting. So we ended up on a campground on the Stockholm Archipelago. A perfect spot to start our road trip.

Tyresta National Park close to Stockholm
Only 20km south of Stockholm you will find Tyresta. In this national park you’ll find an ancient forest, glittering lakes and centuries old pine trees. We walked the yellow marked Hällmarksslingan hike over large boulders, through a dense forest full of blueberries and stopped for a little snack at the Bylsjön lake. The hike starts and end at the Naturum, the parks visitor center.

Campground near the sea
To end our first full day with our van, we scored a nice spot on a campground near Trosa.
