Tulum to Bacalar
On your second day, make your way to Bacalar. But first, enjoy a delicious breakfast at Wakax Hacienda! The drive to Bacalar will take about 3 hours, so it's a good idea to fuel up before hitting the road.

Breakfast is included with your stay at Wakax Hacienda, so make sure to take advantage of it! You’ll enjoy fresh fruit, juice, coffee or tea, and a choice of a main dish like eggs, waffles, or chilaquiles (fried tortillas with sauce). The setting makes it even better: eating in the heart of the jungle with the sound of a nearby waterfall is the perfect way to begin the day!
Check in at Aqua Viva
After a 3-hour drive, it’s time to check in at your accommodation. We recommend Aqua Viva, a luxurious resort with villas nestled in a beautiful jungle, complete with a peaceful pool. The villas offer a perfect mix of luxury and practicality. On the first floor, you'll find a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy dining area, and an outdoor terrace with lounge seating. Upstairs, there are two elegant bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and balcony. Prices start at € 134 per night.
Dinner at Naya Restaurant
On your first day in Bacalar, we recommend having dinner at Naya Restaurant. You’ll enjoy stunning views of the Bacalar Lagoon along with amazing food. We had cocktails, guacamole, tacos de arrachera (grilled skirt steak), and calabacita (zucchini with pistachio, feta cheese crumble, figs, and olives). Each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The staff is also super friendly! While the prices are higher than most places, the experience is worth every peso.
