If you're traveling between Nairobi and Naivasha and looking for a unique and peaceful stop along the way, Teagoni Tea Farm is a hidden gem worth adding to your itinerary.
Nestled in the lush greenery between the two towns, this charming family-run tea farm offers a personal and immersive experience into the world of Kenyan tea. We were warmly welcomed by a friendly host who made us feel right at home. The tour began with a leisurely walk through the tea plantation, where we learned about the entire tea-making process — from picking the leaves to the final cup. It’s both educational and serene, surrounded by rolling green hills and fresh countryside air.
One of the highlights was the incredible lunch served after the tour. Set in a super cute, cozy garden setting, the meal was delicious and plentiful — and yes, they happily offer vegan options if you let them know in advance! Alongside the food, we were treated to generous servings of iced tea and hot tea, making it a true tea lover’s dream.
Although tours are usually designed for groups of four or more, we were able to enjoy a private visit by paying a little extra — totally worth it for such a personalized experience.
Teagoni Tea Farm is a peaceful, authentic spot that blends learning, nature, and a lovely dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone traveling the Nairobi–Naivasha route!
