Jour 2 : Parc national et escalade d'un volcan
Aujourd'hui, vous visiterez le célèbre parc national de Timanfaya de l'île. Commencez tôt le matin pour être l'un des premiers à arriver au parc national. Vous recevrez une place de parking et ensuite vous ferez la queue pour un bus qui vous fera faire un tour à travers le paysage volcanique spectaculaire. Nous savons... cela semble assez touristique et, franchement, c'est le cas. Mais c'est tout de même quelque chose que vous devez voir en visitant Lanzarote. ASTUCE : laissez d'autres personnes entrer dans le bus afin d'être les premiers à prendre le suivant. De cette façon, vous pouvez prendre le premier rang, ce qui rendra les vues beaucoup meilleures ! Dans l'après-midi, vous quitterez le parc national pour escalader le célèbre Caldera Blanca. C'est un ancien volcan sur lequel vous pouvez randonner jusqu'au sommet et avoir une vue imprenable sur son cratère, le parc national et la côte.
Visit the Timanfaya National Park
The Island's most famous natural hotspot is the Timanfaya National Park. These volcanoes where the last to erupt only 300 years ago. For almost 6 years straight they were on fire, changing the entire landscape of this area. Make sure to arrive early and be the first to entire one of the busses that will drive you around the scenic route. This way you will sit at the first row for the best views. After your tour you will see extreme heat that is still in the soil of this park. With a geyser demonstration and even a kitchen cooking with the heat of the earth, you can literally taste this wonder of nature.
Hike to the top of a volcano
Just outside the Timanfaya National Park you will find the Caldera Blanca. This ancient volcano is one of the most popular hikes of the island. From the parking lot it is a 8 km hike in total. You will walk a quite uncomfortable path through the "lava sea", a rocky black lava landscape. When you reach the volcano, you walk all the way to the back from where you start climbing this mountain towards the top. It's a moderate to hard hike but with amazing views over the crater and the surrounding.
