France
Start off in The Jura region
One hell of a first stop: crystal clear blue lakes, a dream camping and an impressive waterfall. Bienvenue à France!

Morning picknick at La Chatelaine
Bonjour! Park your car at the little village La Chatelaine, because from here, you can easily walk to the next stop (stunning waterfalls). However, don't go immediately, but enjoy a self-made breakfast here, right next to the river. This village only has a few houses, but is super charming to shortly walk around. Adding the link to the blog of this holiday for more information.
Follow the "Cascade des Tufs" signs by foot

Take a look at the breathtaking Cascades des Tufs
Nope, you're not in South-East Asia. This is France! The Cascades des Tufs are one of the main sights in the Jura region and I could immediately see why. Hidden in the woods, these waterfalls have a mystic feeling. Walk next to the river to see them from different perspectives.

Check-in at Camping Lac de Narlay
I must admit: I'm not a typical camping lover. I hadn't done it since I was a kid, even. But my boyfriend convinced me and there we were, at the check-in of our first camping of this roadtrip! And a little spoiler: it will be the best one of this trip :-). When driving towards your spot, you immediately see the blue lake popping up, next to which you can install your tent. Like a fairytale! Can't wait to wake up here in the morning and go for an early swim... Oh, nice to know: the toilets and showers here are very clean.

Walk around the three paradise lakes
At the lobby of the camping, you can find a walking map with several routes starting from the camping. We chose to walk around the three beautiful lakes, not too far from our spot. Perfect to get it moving a bit, however close enough to go back when you're tired.
Let's head back to the camping spot!

Enjoy a laid-back dinner right next to the lake
First night, so we're taking it easy. We chose to enjoy a homemade barbecue right next to our tent and the water. Just perfect.
