Ending the trip in paradise: Les Calanques de Cassis
Final day of our roadtrip! And we're ending in one of the most beautiful nature spots of Southern Europe: Les Calanques de Cassis. Challenging climb, but so worth it.
Get a take-away sandwich in town
Go to one of the many bakeries in Cassis to get yourself a take-away sandwich for lunch in Les Calanques later. Don't forget to pack or buy lots of water as well, as we have quite a climb/hike coming up.

Challenging hike with spectacular views: Les Calanques de Cassis!
Towering above the Mediterranean coast of France are les Calanques de Cassis. These three calanques are the deepest, and arguably the most impressive of the Calanques National Park. The azure water that weave through the limestone cliffs are spectacular and so worth all the sweatdrops along the way. There are quite some routes to take from Port Miou, so that's up to you. In each case, make sure that you will access the following Calanques on your way: Calanque de Port Pin and Calanque d'en Veau. We took a walk that walked on top of these "beaches" and went down to them both. But watch out, if you decide to do this, you'll have to climb all the way up again too. Not for pussies ;-). Let the pictures inspire you of the beauty of this place! Oh, and eat that sandwich you ordered this morning on of the beaches.
Dinner at La Stazione
Totally deserved after the hike: pizza! Best one in town and a bustling terrace: La Stazione. Enjoy - this one's the last dinner of the roadtrip. Back home tomorrow! Hope you enjoyed. xx Lien
