Dip into a thermal water pool
Parque Terra Nostra is one of the highlights in the Azores, more specifically the thermal water pool. Start the day in a relaxed way and take a dip into the thermal water pool. Afterwards you can still stroll around the beautiful park. Entrance fee: €10
Steaming geothermal pools
Close to the Terra Nostra park you will find the Caldeiras das Furnas. Those are steaming geothermal pools and geysers. I am still trying to process this attraction as it's so special. However, prepare yourself mentally for the smell around here :)
Let's go to the beach
Drive down to the cute village 'Ribeira Quente' and spend your afternoon at Praia do Fogo.
Most beautiful viewpoint of São Miguel to my opinion
After a relaxing day at the beach it's time to head back to the capital, Ponta Delgada, where we stayed. I would also recommend you to stay there as it's the most vibrant city you'll find on the island. So before heading there, make a quick stop at Miradouro do Pico da Barrosa.
