The Plitvice lakes and waterfalls in Croatia are a popular destination and that's no surprise! Plitvice is the largest national park in Croatia and consists of 16 beautifully colored lakes and as many as 90 waterfalls.
You have several routes to walk and 2 entrances where you can park. So it's important to be well prepared.
Routes from entrance 1
- Route A: 3.5 km | 2 – 3 hours | Veliki Slap (highest waterfall in Croatia) + lower lakes
- Route B: 4 km | 3 – 4 hours | Route A + train & boat over Kozjak lake
- Route C: 8 km | 4 – 6 hours | Whole park
- Route K: 18.3 km | 6 – 8 hours | Route C, but without boat + train
