Rest day: hiking around Llyn Idwal & Glyder Fawr
The Glyder Fawr is a mountain of 1001m tall. It is the tallest peak in the Glyderau mountain range and is famous for it’s jagged rock formations. There are multiple hiking and scrambling routes to the summit, but we decided to take it easy and enjoy the views from somewhat lower points.

A ramble around Llyn Idwal
Explore the beautiful ice-sculpted Cwm Idwal – a bowl-shaped hollow filled with the crystal clear waters of Llyn Idwal. The hike around the lake will be about 5 kilometers. If you go from the mountain hostel, it will be a day hike from about 15 kilometers.
