During my internship abroad in the beautiful country of Curaçao, I decided to finally make one of my biggest dreams come true... I wanted to become a PADI Open Water Diver!!
My passion for the ocean and spending time near and/or in the water has been a part of me from the day I was born. My name Margot is derived from Margaretha, a Greek girl's name, descending from the Greek word for 'pearl', 'margaritè'. This word likely originates from Babylonian, 'mâr galliti' which means 'daughter of the sea, child of light'. This may well explain why I feel best and closest to myself in and near water.
So, when my time on the island was almost coming to an end. I could not leave without making this dream come true. After a quick back and fort with Julien - my first dive was scheduled. I could just not stop smiling the whole day - before - during - after the dive. It was just incredible!!
Very proud that I can call myself a padi open water diver. All thanks to Diving in Curaçao 🤿🐠
