The Dolomites are truly a gem, attracting countless visitors to this stunning region of Italy each year. For hikers and mountaineers, it feels like paradise. However, one downside is the high cost of accommodation. During peak season, hotels in Cortina d'Ampezzo, the area's most popular village, can be quite pricey, and even in the off-season, finding a room for under €150 per night can be challenging.
Fortunately, if you drive and choose to stay in nearby towns, you can discover amazing deals that are often half or even less than half the price! Additionally, many fantastic pizzerias offer reasonably priced meals, with pizzas starting as low as €7. During our stay, we chose an Airbnb called Dolomiti del Cadore - II, which provided great comfort at a reasonable rate.
Traveling doesn’t have to break the bank; with a bit of planning and the right choices, you can enjoy amazing experiences without overspending!
