Recharge in the Dar Relax hostel, 700 meters from the Todra Gorges. The terrace will enchant you with its magnificent view of the mountains and the riverside.
The Todra Gorge is a small cliff in the eastern part of the high Atlas mountains. On the bottom of this cliff there is still a very small (ice cold) river flow. Go for a long walk in the gorgeous area of the Todra Gorge, it is a must! We even met a traditional Berber family along our hike. Don't forget to bring enough snacks and water to stay strong and hydrated when it is very hot. There are not spots to hide in the shade.
Do you love climbing? This location is know for its climbing tours too. We unfortunately didn't have enough time to go climbing the Todra Gorge but we saw a lot of other people doing it and heared about some great experiences from fellow backpackers in the hostel.
We were hosted with some delicious dinners each evening and on our final night we could follow the chef at work and learn to make his signature dish!
The walls were recently repainted as we visited the hostel. We could write our names down and some other backpackers even helped to decorate the walls. I don't know if there are still some white spots on these walls but it is worth to go have a look! 😉
