Denmark
From Van Fyns Hoved to Helnaes Fyr
On your last full day, you drive to an authentic town by the coast and make the most of your last sunset on a beautiful peninsula.

Visit the authentic town of Kerteminde
On the last full day in Denmark, you will go to Kerteminde, an authentic town on the coast, not far from Fyns Hoved. The colorful houses, narrow streets, and hidden courtyards give character to this town. When you visit Kerteminde, I recommend stopping by Lulu's Café & Boutique for coffee and some treats. There is a cozy atmosphere, and you can buy interior products and accessories there.
Next, you will drive to the last stop of this road trip, namely Helnaes

Discover the beautiful peninsula of Helnaes
Helnaes is a Danish peninsula, connected to the southwest of Funen by a 2.8 km long dam. This specific dam, with the sea on both sides, is one of my favorite places we have driven! Helnaes Camping is the last camper spot for the night of this road trip. We also had a nice stay here, and the owners kindly helped us. For a camper spot with electricity, we paid €32.00 here. Of course, you must not miss your last sunset. For this, you drive to the western point of the peninsula, Helnaes Fyr. Located on a low cliff, the white lighthouse towers above the rest. From all sides, it is a beautiful sight, but especially from the beach, full of pebbles and small stones, it was a perfect picture. The setting sun made the low cliff golden, and the calm sea contrasted beautifully in blue. I can't think of a better place for a last sunset!
