Day two was dedicated to the two greatest charms of the Moselle region: vineyards and cozy historic towns.
Walking among the vineyards
Vineyards in abundance on the banks of the Moselle. On the third day, we put on our hiking shoes again to explore the vineyards in Lieser. A peaceful walk of just under 10 kilometers with beautiful views over the Moselle provided a delightful start to the day. Of course, this activity is also very suitable to do with a dog, but Tosca needed some rest after the intense hike from yesterday, so we set out in the morning with two.
Strolling in Bernkastel-Kues
A town in two parts, connected by a bridge and separated by the Moselle: Bernkastel-Kues captivates the imagination. The town full of half-timbered houses charms. After our walk in the vineyards, we headed to Bernkastel-Kues. We strolled around the town and then took the car to an authentic mountain hut where they served typical German meals. A cozy end to a lovely day!
