Koblenz and the Geierlay Suspension Bridge
A peaceful walk through the city of Koblenz followed by a visit to the Geierlay Suspension Bridge. People with a fear of heights should skip this last stop! Along the way, we stopped at several beautiful viewpoints that were on our route to fully enjoy this beautiful region on our last day.
Geierlay Suspension Bridge
The Geierlay Suspension Bridge is a 360-meter-long suspension bridge that connects Mörsdorf and Sosberg. Not recommended for those with a fear of heights as the bridge hangs 100 meters above the Mörsdorfer Bachtal. However, it offers a spectacular view! We visited the bridge in May 2024, at that time access was free (in the past, access had been paid). We parked the car in the center of Mörsdorf and walked about two kilometers to the bridge. There are also some marked walks that lead you to the Geierlay Suspension Bridge, definitely worth checking out as it is also a very beautiful region!
A Quick Stop in Koblenz
Koblenz, a historic city at the confluence of the Moselle and the Rhine rivers. In the city center, you will find charming squares and ancient buildings. The majority of the city is car-free, allowing you to stroll peacefully almost everywhere.
