Cambodia
Siem Reap
Siem Reap is a lively city from which you can visit Angkor Wat. Split by a river, the west is touristy with a pub street and nightlife, while the east is more authentic but still has cozy restaurants and bars. On the first day, relax and explore Siem Reap. Wander through the city, visit the Old Market, and enjoy a drink at Pubstreet. On the second day, you’ll pick up your tuk-tuk from Tuktukrental. It’s a great company where everything is well organized. You’ll get clear instructions and a driving lesson. Depending on your driving skills, the lesson takes about 1 hour, after which you can take your tuk-tuk and hit the road. You can use this day to get used to driving your tuk-tuk, and it's definitely interesting to visit Apopo. On the third day, you can visit the Angkor temples with your own tuk-tuk.

Tuktuk Rental
Tuktuk Rental offers a fantastic opportunity for tourists to rent a Tuktuk in Cambodia and explore the country in an authentic and unique way. They have a social mission and collaborate with local Tuktuk owners. So, by renting a Tuktuk, you’re helping to support and develop the local community. Tuktuk Rental provide excellent service and help you plan your trip. You can always reach out to them with questions, and they’re available throughout your journey to offer support and assistance. You can rent a Tuktuk for a day, but the best experience is to rent it for a longer period and explore the country. You'll experience Cambodia like a local and visit places you wouldn’t normally see. The main office is located in Siem Reap, but you can also rent a Tuktuk from other places in Cambodia.

Angkor Temples
The Angkor temples are the largest religious complex in the world and are definitely a highlight in Siem Reap. The sunrise at Angkor Wat is stunning, and I highly recommend being there for it during your visit. Depending on when you're traveling, you should aim to be there around 5:00 AM. Besides Angkor Wat, you definitely shouldn’t miss the following temples: Bayon, Ta Prohm, and Ta Keo.

APOPO
Cambodia still has millions of landmines left over from the civil war and the Khmer Rouge period, which remain a serious threat, especially in rural areas. Many people continue to be injured or killed because of them. APOPO is an organization working to clear these mines. At the APOPO visitor center, you can learn about their work and see how rats are trained to help detect and safely remove the mines.
