Our Vespa trip to Doel begins in Beveren, where Steven from Vespa Waasland gives us a warm welcome. This green starting point immediately puts us in a holiday mood 🌳 After a short briefing, we set off on our Vespa trip towards Doel, better known as "the ghost town" (or "Het Scheldedorp"). With a maximum speed of 45 km/h, we enjoy the quiet roads through the agricultural fields of Beveren 🌾 The circular route is about 63 km. It takes us through surprisingly green, beautiful spots in the tranquil Waasland. We drive past apple and pear orchards on exceptionally quiet roads 🍏 By avoiding city centres, we believe this is the ideal route for beginner Vespa drivers. Yes, Davo is one of them! 🛵 Upon arrival in Doel, the serene silence immediately strikes us. The houses, overgrown with greenery, tell a story of abandonment but also of creative expression. Every wall is a canvas for numerous graffiti artists 🎨 In Doel itself, we encounter only a few other motorcyclists. It's delightful to leisurely cruise through the streets. For refreshments, you can stop at the summer bar 'Den Boemerang', where you can buy a drink 🍹 On the way back, we pass through green, expansive plains once again. You even cross the border into the Netherlands. The charming town of Nieuw-Namen, for example, is an ideal place to have lunch 🥪 After 4 hours of enjoying our two-wheelers, we return to Beveren. If you ask us, this unique Vespa trip is definitely worth repeating! Get ready to Vesplore! 🌍
