Nestled in the heart of Victoria, Australia, Grampians National Park stands as a testament to the breathtaking beauty of the country's natural landscapes. Spanning over 1,600 square kilometers, this national park is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a diverse range of activities and beau-ti-ful scenery.
It all starts with the scenic road all the way to Halls Gap, a spectacular 65-kilometre route where you are greeted by kangaroos (omg!) , colorful birds, amazing views after every turn and lots of greenery! Soooo pretty.
The park's most captivating features are the towering sandstone mountains, ancient rock art sites and cascading waterfalls. Adventurers can go on hikes that unveil the park's beauty, with highlights including the iconic Pinnacle and the Grand Canyon. The Grampians boasts an extensive network of hiking trails catering to various skill levels. From leisurely strolls suitable for families to challenging hikes for seasoned adventurers, there's a path for everyone. The trails lead to panoramic lookouts, lakes and hidden valleys.
It turned out to be one of my favorite regions I’ve visited so far in Australia.
