Motorboat Cruise to Napoleon Island on Lake Kivu

This motorboat cruise to Napoleon Island was a highlight! We set off in the late afternoon, just in time to catch the sunset on the boat ride back. When we arrived at Napoleon Island, we took a 30 minute walk to the top of the island where we could take in breathtaking views of the surrounding hills stretching endlessly in every direction. But the real magic came when we got back on the boat. We followed the cows as they swam between the islands, joined by the farmers in their canoes. It was such a unique experience—watching these cows swim from one island to another while the herdsmen guided them. This is the kind of authentic, raw adventure you want to see.
