During our trip to Berlin, we joined the Alternative Berlin Tour starting from Alexanderplatz TV Tower. This three-hour walking tour, available in English on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10 AM, took us deep into the city's unique and alternative culture.
Our guide Lee, shared stories about Berlin's history, politics, and squatting culture. We visited cool spots like Haus Schwarzenberg, Kunstlerhaus Bethanien, and the Treehouse on the Wall.
The tour gave us a personal look at Berlin's hidden side, exploring areas in both former East and West Berlin. We learned about the city's history through street art, graffiti, and interesting buildings.
Booking ahead of time was necessary for this tour, but it was well worth it. Walking around with a friendly guide helped us understand Berlin's diverse and atmosphere a bit better.
