Cheow Lan Lake is a stunning artificial lake located in the Khao Sok NP in southern Thailand. It was created by the construction of the Ratchaprapha Dam on the Khlong Saeng River, and features a labyrinth of towering limestone karsts and lush islands.
The area is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, with sheer cliffs rising dramatically from emerald-green waters, lush rainforests teeming with wildlife, and hidden caves waiting to be explored.
Most people spend some days on the lake in a basic ecolodge or floating raft house. There are some activities such as boating, kayaking, hiking, and wildlife spotting. But it’s also an ideal one-day activity which includes a boat trip, cave exploration, kayaking and a jungle hike.
