De perfecte ontsnapping voor een paar dagen in de winter? Oostenrijk! Het is slechts een uur met het vliegtuig en de skigebieden zijn gemakkelijk bereikbaar met de trein, taxi of huurauto. We haalden onze huurauto op en reden van Innsbruck naar Ehrwald. Na onze aankomst in het hotel, checkten we in en genoten van een lekker aperitief en diner.
Fly to Innsbruck
From Eindhoven Airport, we took the plane to Innsbruck. A flight of just over an hour and you're in a whole different world! Escaping to the mountains for a while is always a good idea. The landing in Innsbruck immediately immerses you in the atmosphere. The runway is surrounded by mountains on all sides.

From the moment we arrived, the owners, Maria & Otto, made me feel like family. They guided me through every aspect of my stay, from recommending the best ski tips to ensuring I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It truly feels like a home away from home. The owners worked in the hospitality industry for big Hotels over the world, but have taken the plunge to start their own Hotel a few years ago in this pitoresque place. They really master the art of hospitality, you can feel it in every aspect. From the Hotel rooms which are cosy and welcoming to the breakfast which is among the best breakfasts I've ever had in a Hotel, it's a little hidden gem which I can really recommend.
Dinner at Das Halali
Das Halali offers a three course menu and it's so nice to let the chef surprise you with typical Austrian dishes. As we enjoyed our meal, surrounded by the warm ambiance of the restaurant and the company of fellow guests, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the culinary experience that Das Halali had provided. It was more than just a meal; it was a celebration of good food, good drink, and good company—a very nice memory of a night how they are supposed to be on holiday.
