Explore Villefranche-sur-Mer

At just a 15 minute drive (or 10 minute trainride) from Nice, you will find Villefranche-sur-Mer. A supercute, small village with loads of coloured houses. The South of France at its best. Head to the harbour and find yourself one of the cosy terraces to enjoy a local breakfast.

Lunch with a view at La Pinède

I challenged myself to find the best bay in the neighborhood of Nice, as there aren't loaaads of them. Most are nice, but filled with beachclubs or just lots of people. I'm more into small bays, with rocks and not too many people around. Well, the challenge worked out 😄 And by finding it, I also found a heavenly lunch spot. Will tell more about the beach in the next experience, but for lunch, head to La Pinède and ask for a table at the seaside. Dreamy and yummy!

Relax & picknick in Cap d'Ail

Now off to that beach I talked about 😊. You won't have to go far, as it's right next to La Pinède. Take the stairs down, and you'll find yourself on a small beach path that will lead all the way to (the bigger and less charming) Plage Mala. Just don't go that way, but find a spot somewhere on the rocks here. Much space to choose from and the water is heavenly soft (if that's a thing 😉). Stay here until the sun sets and enjoy a picknick next to the sea. If you walk slightly past Restaurant La Pinède, you'll even find a public picknick spot.
