Admire Casa Batlló and Casa Mila
Casa Batlló and Casa Mila are two of Gaudí wonders, both located on Passeig de Gràcia in the city centre. Admire the brilliant colours, wavy architecture and impressive balconies. The Passeig de Gràcia is also a well-known shopping street, so if you’re looking for a new dress or T-shirt: now is the time!
Your next stop is an only 10 minutes walk away. Make sure to go via (or better, cross) the Plaça de Catalunya to see countless street performers, shops, and statues!
Visit Mercat de la Boqueira
In the middle of La Rambla you can find the entrance to Mercat de la Boqueira, a lovely food market. Mercat de la Boqueira is a bustling culinary hub, where locals and tourists alike come to discover the delicious flavors of Catalonia's fresh market fare. This bustling market really is a must for foodies, whether you just want something to go or “dine-in”. Be sure to try some local specialties while you're here!
Retournez sur La Rambla et continuez votre chemin en direction du port. Environ 5 minutes plus tard, quittez La Rambla sur votre gauche pour trouver votre prochaine destination.
Have a drink at Plaça Reial
Plaça Reial is a cute square less than 2 minutes from La Rambla, full of nice restaurants, beautiful buildings and palm trees! We just love the atmosphere here! With some sangria, a little appetizing snack, and a seat in the sun, this is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some people watching.
Retournez sur La Rambla de la même manière que vous êtes arrivé à la Plaça Real. Ensuite, c'est environ 15 minutes de marche vers le sud. Si vous tombez sur le Monument à Christophe Colomb, vous êtes sur la bonne voie.
Stroll through Port Vell
At the end of La Rambla you’ll find the beautiful port of Barcelona. It is really nice to walk around here, you find beautiful buildings and big palm trees everywhere, and even some amazing art can be admired! El Cap de Barcelona is located here, right at the end of the port. It is a sculpture made by the legendary Lichtenstein for the ’92 Olympics in Barcelona. If you want to enjoy some stunning views over the city you can use the cable car that connects the port with the Montjuïc Hill.
