De la déambulation dans le plus ancien quartier de Dubaï à un délicieux déjeuner dans une maison de thé arabe, en passant par la marche sur du verre à 52 niveaux au-dessus du sol, cette journée est pleine de hauts.
Visit historical Dubai: Al Seef/Al Fahidi
Traveling to Old Dubai can easily be done by metro. Simply get off at the Burjuman station and walk about 10 minutes. It won't take long until you see Al Seef's unique architecture appearing. Even though it's not hard to tell that this isn't truly authentic, it's still a very beautiful area where you get a glimpse of what Dubai once looked like.
Travel across the Dubai Creek
At the end of the Al Seef area, you will stumble across a small boat station where you can take an Abra boat across the river for only 2 AED per person. There, you can visit the Gold and Spice souks and many more. If you're short on time, however, I would skip this part as we did find it a bit too touristy.
Have lunch at the Old Arabian Tea House
Back on the other side of the Dubai Creek, make your way to the Al Fahidi district just across the street. There you will find the Old Arabian Tea House, one of our favorite stops of the trip. Not only is the restaurant super aesthetic, the local food they offer is simply amazing.
Visit the Sky Views Observatory at sunset
For a great view of the Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai, the Sky Views Observatory right next to the Dubai Mall is the place to be. Gliding on a glass slide, walking on glass 52 levels above, and watching the sun set over the city make this a great viewing deck experience at half the price of a Burj Khalifa ticket.
