Walk the Adaja River Route

This was our first visit to this region of Spain, and even the drive along was gorgeous - a lush green backdrop of countryside dotted with autumn hues. So you can imagine my delight when we discovered this stunning walk along the bank of the river that almost completes a perfect loop around the historic part of town. Of course Ozzy was in tow and he loved it *nearly* as much as I did.

Wind down + dine in

The days are getting shorter and dinner-time is somehow already here. Keep it easy and dine at the on-site (and very cool underground) restaurant at Los Cinco Linajes. I was a bit worried being mostly pescatarian, as the local specialty is suckling pig, but the menu has quite a few alternatives to suit everyone (don't skip the ensalada Sedeño or mushroom risotto!), paired with a bottle of local wine, of course.
