One of the highlights in Lanzarote was on the planning: Papagayo Beach. Combined with a visit to Las Grietas.
Enjoy the magical view at Papagayo Beach
For the most beautiful beach of Lanzarote, Papagayo beach is the place to be. This beach is located on the south coast of the island, near Playa Blanca. Besides Papagayo beach, there are other beaches nearby as well, such as Playa Mujeres and Playa del Pozo. The road to Playa de Papagayo is challenging though, this road is not paved and contains many potholes. A bumpy ride, but this is so worth it, believe me!

Walk through a canyon at Las Grietas
This is a kind of canyon you can walk through, and a not-so-well-known spot on Lanzarote. A hidden gem though! You can park your car at Parking Grieta Volcanica and from there it’s only a 5 minute walk to the start of the Las Grietas canyon. Las Grietas is located very close to our hotel (only 10 minutes by car), so definitely worth driving by.
