University Library, Town Hall & Great Beguinage
It’s time to get to know Leuven, and what better way to do that than to view the city from above? You will also see your first stop from afar: the tower of the University Library. During the climb you will discover the city’s turbulent history. Once you reach the top, your efforts are rewarded with a stunning panorama. Once you climb back down, head straight for Grote Markt. Here you will find the impressive Gothic Town Hall of Leuven. The same square is home to the renovated Saint Peter’s Church. Venture inside and discover The Last Supper by Dieric Bouts and other art treasures. Feel like a walk before lunch? Then set off for the Great Beguinage. Lose yourselves in the narrow streets and discover the most charming spots for a group photo.

Let's lunch!
The city is packed with great lunch spots offering top quality for a great price. From burgers, salads to noodle soups, you'll find it all in the city centre. Be sure to check out the Tiensestraat and Parijsstraat. Here you'll find a lot of lunch spots next to each other. Or head to the trendy Vaartkom - Leuven's up-and-coming district and the place to be for more unique lunch experiences.

Time for some shopping
Find major brands in Diestsestraat, Brusselsestraat, and Bondgenotenlaan, or browse unique boutiques in Parijsstraat and Mechelsestraat. Not shopping for clothes? Step into 'Animaux Spéciaux' for artful curiosities, enjoy a coffee among books at 'Barbóék', or indulge in handmade chocolates from local chocolatiers. Plus, Leuven’s growing focus on sustainability means fair fashion fans will find plenty to love!

Dinner & drinks
After a full day of exploring, treat yourself to a relaxed meal. Whether you're in the mood for food sharing, international flavors, or Belgian classics, there’s plenty to choose from—just be sure to book ahead! End the night at one of the cozy bars on Oude Markt, known as the longest bar. Prefer live music or a show? Check the lineup at Het Depot, 30CC, or STUK for an unforgettable evening!
