Check-in at a local bed & breakfast

I would recommend B&B Veado, however unfortunately they recently stopped... They are currently looking for someone to take over the premises. This is what I wrote about it: this is the best B&B I have ever been to. The host is amiable, and you'll feel at home in a few seconds. The B&B is just outside the city, so take your walking boots or bike with you.

or by bike/car whatever you prefer

Go for a historical walk

Book a guide and go for an evening/morning walk, whatever floats your boat. Surprisingly, Turnhout has a lot of history. The guided city walk was a perfect way to get to know the city more. Call the 'tourism of Turnhout' to find your guide. (;

1 star Michelin lunch

For us, Turnhout is just a 45 minutes drive. Because every day is hectic, we decided to have a slow Saturday morning, go to Turnhout around noon, and start the weekend with the best food ever, ‘Hert.’ The view is spectacular. It’s a one-Michelin-star restaurant and a must-do when you love gastronomy. Count enough hours for your lunch experience. Because we sat there for 5 hours and it was terrific.

Shopping

Turnhout has many shops, so you have plenty of choices if you're into shopping. For a little coffee break, go to 'Bold.'

Dinner

If you aren't tired yet, you can buy tickets to the cinema or go for a drink in 'café Ranonkel,' it's an old café, but It has its charm. Hungry again? No prob, I've got it covered for you; go to 'Gastrobar Gaston' and enjoy a tapas menu from all over the world.
