Terracotta: a hidden gem in Bali for food and pool relaxation
Food & drinks
€ 50 - 100
Nestled just outside Ubud’s city center, Terracotta offers the perfect spot for a day of relaxation and great food, all in a beautiful and serene setting.
Our day started with a customizable breakfast that had us excited from the get-go. At Terracotta, you get to cross off items on a paper menu to create your ideal breakfast spread. It’s a fantastic option for groups like ours, as everyone can try something different and sample a bit of everything. We had a blast mixing and matching our choices!
We spent the rest of the day lounging by the restaurant’s impressive pool. The view from here is nothing short of spectacular. The pool overlooks lush rice fields, where we could relax on sunbeds and enjoy the sight of tropical palm trees. For a bit of activity, we strolled through the rice fields and watched some cute ducks going about their day.
We then returned to the restaurant for dinner to end our day on another high note. We enjoyed a multi-course meal that we’re still dreaming about! The tuna tataki, roasted honey pork, and seafood risotto were standout dishes, and the soto ayam and pumpkin soup made for fantastic starters.
Last but not least: make sure to try their local cocktails made from arak. They’re affordable, creative, and delicious. If you’re sticking around for a pool day like we did, try to be there around 2 pm to take advantage of the 2-for-1 cocktail deal. It doesn’t get any better than that!
