Venice Beach and Santa Monica
A lot of free parking spots in the neigborhoud of the Abbot Kinney Boulevard. You can rent a bike or just walk (take a morning hike) from Venice beach to Santa Monica. We had breakfast at Gjusta (delicious but expensive) and walked to the Santa Monica Pier and back (10 K).

The Getty Center
The Getty Center in Los Angeles is a world-renowned cultural destination that blends stunning art, architecture, and gardens. Perched on a hilltop in the Santa Monica Mountains, it offers panoramic views of the city, ocean, and surrounding landscapes. The museum houses an impressive collection of European paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, and photography. The architecture, designed by Richard Meier, features sleek modern lines and travertine stone, creating a serene and harmonious space. In addition to the art, the Getty's meticulously maintained gardens are a work of art themselves, offering a peaceful retreat for visitors. No entry fee. Parking cost: 25 $
