Be early and enjoy

As mentioned before we were headed to Soteska Vintgar Nature reserve. WARNING: be early! This is the place that apparently EVERYONE wants to see. This was the only time we had a place being so busy so early one. Make sure you are there BEFORE opening, this way, you can secure a parking spot (although it can be cheaper if you park somewhere else and maybe take a bus, this parking is NOT cheap). This is not a park where you go in and come back out the same way. Here you go through the 'park' and at the end you see a (unfortunately) man made waterfall. After the end, you can walk around the nature reserve BACK to your car. There are also mutliple options to 'order' a car back to your own. For the walkers: they lay out a pathway for you, sometimes you are on the road, but mostly you're in a forest. I know I said the last waterfall is man made, but the rest of the park is certainly beautiful.

My favorite national park

We had this place almost all to ourselves, we were there at around 4 o'clock in the afternoon? You have multiple parking options here, close to the park (probably not cheap), but also a bit further, you can walk and or take a bus, very cheap to even free. This park is TOTALLY worth everything in my opinion. The fact that we were almost alone, certainly helps. Don't do this if you can't do steep hikes, this is definitely a place with a lot of stairs, a lot of steep paths. Not so perfect for a stroller or a wheelchair. ---------------- After this, we planned to go back to Lake Bled, but unfortunately it was already WAAAY to busy, so we headed back home. Enjoy your trip!
