Are you visiting southern Spain? Then Ronda is definitely a place you can’t skip! Ronda is famous for it’s iconic high Roman bridge in the middle of town, named the Puente Nuevo. Translated this means ‘the new bridge’. This bridge got it’s name because it was rebuilt after the bridge collapsed in 1740, in which 50 people died. The reconstruction began in 1759 and was finished in 1793. The new bridge is 35 meters long and 100 meters high! After admiring the bridge definitely wander around the rest of Ronda and explore it's picturesque Spanish streets.
