Back on the West Coast of Sri Lanka we stayed at this beautiful design hotel in Hikkaduwa.
Hikkaduwa was a little fishermans' village but is now known as a famous beach (and surf) spot!
This hotel is located in the centre on walking distance of all the shops, restaurants and bars (but you can also take a tuktuk, like we always did ;-)).
All the rooms of this hotel have a stunning ocean view, and it's also located ON the beach. The pool is a natural one, with salt water and very kids friendly.
The hotel has two restaurants: the main restaurants which serves a lot of local food and delicious curry's and on the rooftop they have a Japanese (named True Blue) restaurant! They are both exceptionally good but we preferred the Japanese one!
