An adventurous day in Brabant
In the remarkable region of Brabant, 's-Hertogenbosch offers exciting outdoor activities. Experience thrilling mountain biking in the dunes and forests, or enjoy a leisurely walk across the 600-meter-long Moerputten bridge.

Riding the 'green' mountainbike route in the dunes
Picking up our mountain bikes and off we go! As inexperienced mountain bikers, we were advised to follow the "green" route. This single track is 16 kilometers long, and relatively easy versus the 26 km black route. It takes you through forests and dunes and winds along narrow roads and the bike path. We loved the scenery and really enjoyed riding here for the first time!

A little break among the dunes
The Loonse en Drunense Duinen is one of the largest areas of drifting sand in Western Europe. This Brabant Sahara has an ever-changing landscape due to the wind and is worth taking a little detour for.

Coffee and break at De Rustende Jager
De Rustende Jager, is located at the edge of National Park De Loonse en Drunense Duinen. After a thrilling morning of mountainbiking, take a well-deserved break at this century-old establishment. The staff is really friendly as well!

Lunch in a Dutch windmill
Ever eaten in or under an authentic windmill? You can in the Emmamolen in Nieuwkuijk! Enjoy a tasty lunch on the terrace and take a look inside the still-running windmill. You can also visit the Bakhuys to take home some locally made baking products!

Walking across an old railroad bridge
The next stop is the Moerputten. After parking the car, it is only a few minutes walk to the 600-meter old railroad bridge. After this attraction, you walk along the fairy-like decking paths. An oasis of green close to the city of 's- Hertogenbosch.

Check in at The Den
After a day filled with activities, it's time to check in at hotel The Den, a stylish design hotel in Den Bosch. We enjoyed some cocktails on the rooftop before heading out again.

Off to dinner!
For dinner, we head into town. From The Den, it's about a 20-minute walk to the coziest terrace street in the Netherlands: the Korte Putstraat in Den Bosch! We had a reservation at restaurant Allerlei & Visserij and afterwards had a drink on the market square.
