Puglia, the most southern part of Italy, has my heart. It's super authentic, the food is great and the locals warmly welcome you. My love has gotten that far, that I even got married there 😉. Sharing with you my top ten tips in the region!
Before diving into it: all pictures added to this trip were taken with the Fujifilm X-T30 ii, using the "Portra 160" recipe as a filter. It fits the Puglia vibe perfectly. Check out the link attached for more info!
• If you're traveling in group, consider a stay at Masseria Le Cerase. Tucked away in the olive fields, it will just be you, the sun, nature and a beautifully designed house.
• Spend some time in the local village "Conversano", and have a platter of local cheese at Mortadella Jazz.
• Go at watch the sunset at Corso Vittorio Emanuele II in Ostuni.
• Book an "aperitivo in the vineyard" at Masseria Montenapoleone for the perfect date night! 🥂
• Visit Martina Franca in the morning, a lesser known but stunning city!
• Stroll around the old town of Bari for typical Puglian scenes. Whilst there, buy a piece of focaccia at "Panificio Fiore".
• Book an Italian cooking class with Puglia Kitchen. Chef Domenico knows what's good! 🍝
• Go beach-hopping in Salento and don't skip these three: Cala dell'Acquaviva, Porto Miggiano and Cala Ciolo.
• No Puglia without a winetasting. Book a tour and tasting and Cantina Polvanera or Castel di Salve 🍇
• Book a private boat tour to watch the shore of Polignano a Mare during sunset. Simply magical!
