The Monkey Forest in Ubud is home to hundreds of long-tailed macaques that roam freely. Monkeys everywhere! They’re used to people so they will come up to you for food or just hang out with you. Some of them will even try to steal your belongings. So make sure you don't carry anything valuable or put everything away properly before you venture among these little creatures.
The park itself lies in the midst of vibrant Ubud, offering an escape from the daily hustle and bustle. It’s not very big, but a walk through this jungle is well worth it. You can easily spend one or two hours there.
The Monkey Forest is a popular place to visit in Ubud and there are many shops nearby that sell souvenirs and food. The entrance fee on a weekday is IDR 80.000 (€ 5,4) for an adult and IDR 60.000 (€ 4) for a child.
