Jiuzhaigou Valley, located in Sichuan Province, China, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's like stepping into a whole new world of wonder! Picture colorful lakes, cascading waterfalls, and snowy peaks. And hey, if you're planning a visit, autumn is absolutely fantastic! The trees go all out with their wardrobe change, painting the place in the most epic colors.
We visited during a cloudy, rainy spring day, and while the weather wasn't ideal, the beauty of Jiuzhaigou Valley still shone through. I can only imagine how stunning it must be when the sun is out! Unfortunately, we can't control nature, but I would still highly recommend visiting. The water here is some of the bluest I've ever seen—it's truly breathtaking!
Plan for a full-day excursion, starting early to fully enjoy the park's offerings. While food and drinks are available for purchase, it's convenient to bring along snacks and water. Don't forget your passport for entrance at the gate.
China always provides shuttle buses in national parks, making them accessible to everyone. It's your choice where to get off the shuttle bus and where you want to walk. Opting for a short walk can often lead to having the space all to yourself, as many Chinese visitors prefer to be a little lazy. My favorite places are Long lake and five coloured pool, but to be honest, everything is beautiful!
